Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Dayton, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Ohio run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

OMG! This place was amazing! A total hidden gem in Dayton! We tried the Papaya Salad, Chive Dumplings, Pad See Ew and Pad Thai and for dessert the Mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious! Donβt think it twice and try this amazing restaurant!

We ordered papaya salad and drunken noodles with Thai hot level. I really like the papaya salad (Laos style). It was super spicy and salty as it should be. This dish reminded me when I was living in Thailand. I usually had papaya salad at least once a week. The master drunken noodles was good too. However, we didn't expect that the noodles would be round and yellow one. We thought it would be wide rice noodles so my husband didn't impress with it. I personally like the taste of the noodles though. The staff there were nice and kind. Atmosphere was also great. They have a big TV for you watch about street food in Thailand, not sure if they will change the content on that TV or not. If you live near by Dayton, I recommend you to try this restaurant. Be careful of the Thai hot level! It is really hot like Thai people usually eat. You may try if you dare!

We had a great meal at Thai Garden! The braised beef noodle soup was rich and flavorful with tender beef, and the Yen Ta Fo had a delicious broth loaded with fresh seafood and fish balls. The papaya salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The portions were generous, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Weβll definitely be back!

We have been waiting in anticipation for this restaurant to open. My family loves Happy Asian Market, Kung Fu Noodle, and Danielaβs Juice Bar and Bubble Tea Shop. Thai Garden does not disappoint in the slightest, adding to the rich variety of wonderful dining options in this location. We started with two appetizers: fried tofu and chive dumplings. Both were executed perfectly, but my wife and daughters especially loved the chive dumplings. I initially expected to order Pad Thai, as it is a standard Thai staple that I often use to compare Thai restaurants. However, I was swayed by the many wonderful options on the menu. Surprisingly, none of my family members ordered anything they had tried before. The Pad See Ew was amazingβkid-friendly and perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed her papaya salad, only noting that the portion was so large she could not finish it. The chicken basil stir-fry was beautiful in both presentation and taste, and the curry was exactly what you hope for when ordering Thai curry. During our visit, the chef came to our table, introduced herself, and happily explained and answered any questions we had about the food. Our waiter was also friendly and attentive.

A friend and I attended the soft launch and were served on the cute lil patio by the chef herself. The menu was a smaller version of what it will become but still had plenty of options. We got the chive dumplings (softer than expected, a delight), the house salad (lovely orange ginger dressing), an inventive take on som tom (served as an entree with noodles, pork sausage, chicken wings, steamed vegetables, hard boiled eggsβ¦sounds crazy but life is short), spicy tofu pad see ew (yummy!) and finished with the most perfectly ripe mango Iβve ever eaten over warm sticky rice that made me tingle with pleasure. They even gifted us a couple cheesecake squares. Iβm happy to report weβve got a lovely new Thai spot in Dayton.
